For quite some time, in the background, I’ve been working on getting an indie nail polish brand going. I’ve been working on mixing and testing and everything and finally it’s all about to come to fruition. This Friday, October 13th, 2017, my brand, Geekish Glitter Lacquer, is launching! I’m going to share some bottle shots of the polishes here. I don’t have much else but if you go and follow Geekish Glitter Lacquer on Instagram, you’ll see all of the swatches that were done by some great swatchers.
So let’s talk about the fact that I go months in between posts. Good thing I’m not trying to be a professional blogger, right? Because I would fail. I’ve been busy. I’m starting a new indie nail polish brand (stay tuned for that), I moved in July, and I’ve been working graveyard shifts. So life has been busy. Since I was moving when I got this box, the lighting of my photos is a bit… off. But I wanted to take pics and post them before it was another six months.
Have you ever noticed that I make posts about things that have been released and long gone for so long that it isn’t even funny? I’m not a reviewer or a swatcher. I’m an amateur blogger that does this at my own convenience. That would be exactly why I’m posting about this box that was released in October of 2016 and I just never was able to find the time to post about it. I’ve had these pictures for like six months at this point. Enjoy?
2016 has been over for a couple of weeks (thank goodness!) but I still wanted to touch on my favorite polishes of the year that I used. I went through my Instagram and found a few that stood out to me as my favorite polishes. You might notice a theme (I wear a lot of green) and also a few stand out brands (two in particular). So head on under the cut to see which polishes I considered my favorite last year!

This is third Ipsy bag since resubscribing for the third time… Generally speaking, I am not disappointed. Each month you pay $10 for a curated bag that has 5 items, usually sample sizes but occasionally full size. I think that the price of the bag is pretty great especially since the value usually exceeds the cost. It’s an awesome little surprise to see this pink mailer in my mailbox every month! Click through to see what I got this month.
This last month, I stopped in Michael’s on a whim and ended up picking a few things up. This is a much smaller haul, but it’s full of new stuff for me to get into bullet journaling. Check it out to see the things that I picked up!
I went shopping a couple of times during my birthday month so I got quite a few awesome things! I hit up a few places because sometimes I have no impulse control and retail therapy is a real thing! Also, this month I turned 25 so I may have gone a bit crazy. I got some great things though! I went to Bath and Body Works (most serious guilty pleasure), Yankee Candle, and Lush. This haul spans over the whole month, not one insane shopping trip. I do have a little bit of self control. I also got some great birthday presents from friends and family, but those aren’t included in this post. 😉
