November 2016 Ipsy Bag

This is my fourth Ipsy bag since resubscribing for the third time… Generally speaking, I am not disappointed and this month was no different. Overall, I was pretty satisfied with this bag. Each month you pay $10 for a curated bag that has 5 items, usually sample sizes but occasionally full size. I think that the price of the bag is pretty great especially since the value usually exceeds the cost. It’s an awesome little surprise to see this pink mailer in my mailbox every month! This bag was curated pretty well for me this month and I’m overall pretty pleased with this bag. Most of the items are usable and I feel like I kind of got a few bonus items as well. There were a few misses in here but overall, it’s a hit. My favorite thing again had to be the actual bag again, although it’s weird because it is a little… squishy? I love the star zipper pull. Also I think a product got sticky somehow so a few items got some weird stickiness on them. How was your Ipsy bag this month?

Ofra Cosmetics Banana Powder

I haven’t actually used any Ofra products but I’ve heard some good things. I’ve also never used Banana Powder so I’m not going to lie, I don’t really know how to use it. This is a decent sample. My only issue is that it comes in a pan and I don’t have a Z-palette to keep it in. I’ve been wanting one so what better time than now?

Value: $12 for 36 mm godet pan

Formula X Nail Polish in Huntress

I love nail polish, everyone knows this. I was excited for this because I’ve never used Formula X polish. The color seemed like a nice fall color. Then I opened my bag and it was a mini. I hate mini polishes. They’re hard to use and I just don’t see the point. I won’t use it. This will be given away. What a bummer.

Value: $3.80 for 4ml, $10.50 for 11ml, full size

theBalm Mad Lash Mascara

I like mascara, I like mascara samples. I am so tired of theBalm though, not going to lie. I don’t really like the brand, I find them mediocre at best. And I just keep getting all of theBalm products in my bags. I’ll use this, but I’m not really excited to use it. The bottle is really odd too…

Value: $2.81 for 2.5 ml, $9.00 for 8ml, full size

Bonvivant Botanical Mask Pack: Chamomile + Tea Tree, Sodium Hyaluronate + Lotus, Collagen + Olive

This was three masks as one item. This is why I felt like I got a few bonus items. They’re sheet masks and I am kind of all about masks right now. So I’m digging these for sure. I usually hate face products in these bags but I’m down for masks, keep bringing them on.

Value: $3 per mask, $9 total

Elizabeth Mott Color is Bae Lip Lacquer in Red Chili

I like lip products and I have enjoyed most of the Elizabeth Mott products I’ve ever received. I’ll be curious to see how this wears. I like reds but I haven’t so much used lip lacquers as I have lip creams that go matte. I love matte products so we will see how this one works for me. This is a small sample but I’m sure it’ll last me a little while since I got dark and vampy in the fall and winter. Apparently the full sized product is only 1 gram more, which seems small but perhaps it isn’t.

Value: $16 for 4 g, $20 for 5 g, full size

Total Value of Bag: $43.61

How did you enjoy your bag this month? Did it work for you? I’m in love with the bag and it was worth it for that alone. Comment below and let me know!
