September 2016 Ipsy Bag

This is my second Ipsy bag since resubscribing for the third time… I just like the surprise and so far and I have not been disappointed. Each month you pay $10 for a curated bag that has 5 items, usually sample sizes but occasionally full size. I think that the price of the bag is pretty great especially since the value usually exceeds the cost. It’s an awesome little surprise to see this pink mailer in my mailbox every month! Click through to see what I got this month.

The theme this month was Glamazon and this is the bag that everything arrived in. I will say that I am not a huge fan of the bag. It’s not bad but it’s not one that I drooled over either. I will probably end up giving it away just because it won’t see as much use. Not every bag is a winner!

I received the Ulta 3 Nail Colour nail polish in Sizzling Red. I love nail polish. Everyone should know that I love nail polish at this point. It is not a big secret. So I’m always pretty hyper to receive nail polish. To be honest, I have not heard of this brand. I’m not opposed to new brands though. This is a full size polish in a pretty classic red color. That’s great and all, but I like my polish a little more exciting and the classic red is something I already have and rarely wear. It’s a  good pick to put in my bag but the color isn’t doing it for me. I might end up getting rid of this too.

Value: ~$2.00, for full size. This is a full sized product.

Next up was the Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask. I have actually heard about this product and heard that it is pretty good. I like hair masks just because I get to try different things and my hair is always a little sad. So I am definitely excited to try this one out. If it is as good as people say, then I am sure that this product will not disappoint.

Value: $4.50 for sample, $36 for full size

Next we have the Eyeko London Eye Do Liquid Eyeliner. I love black eyeliner, I love liquid eyeliner, I love felt tips. All around a good pick for me. You can seriously never go wrong with liquid eyeliner and I have grown to re-love liquid eyeliner pens with a felt tip. I feel I can get good control with it and that it lasts longer. This will definitely be used when I’m not using my fave liquid eyeliner pen. The box got a little messed up in transit but that goes in the trash anyways. This is a deluxe sample size, about half the size of the full priced item.

Value: ~$9.50, $19 for full size

Okay, yes. I got the It Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara. I love mascara. Pretty much every mascara is alright in my book. I have never actually used an It Cosmetics brand product. So I am excited. Not to mention, I was at Ulta and saw this exact sample and it cost $10. That is the cost of this bag alone so I definitely won’t complain. This is a deluxe sample but it’ll last me a surprisingly long time I am sure.

Value: $10, $24 for full size

And last, but not least, is the Crown Brush Angled Ombre Brush. I like Crown brushes because they are soft and I have only ever gotten them in my Ipsy bags. I like to have a variety of brushes and these ones are always cool. Only thing better would be to have a whole collection of one style, but I’m cool with getting these individual brushes. Definitely a keeper.

Value: $8.00

Total Value of Bag: $34

All around I am very pleased with this bag. I like everything in it. I just won’t find as much use with the red polish. It is still great and almost everything is a keeper. They curated this bag pretty well for me which is a surprise. I think they’re getting better, at least for me they are! How was your Ipsy bag this month?
